The Spiritual Core and Our Suit of Flesh, A Preface

It has been said that we are but suits of flesh, and this is true.

It has been said that we have a spiritual core, and this also is true.

It has been said that we long to unite ourselves to corrupt beauty, and this is true.

It has been said that we long to disunite ourselves from the material realm, and this also is true.

“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: for we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:6-8)
